You’re invited to a Winter Storm Preparedness Town Hall on Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Pt Reyes to learn what local agencies are doing to prepare and what residents can do before, during, and after storms arrive.

Spanish interpretation and American Sign Language interpretation will be available.

County department representatives will provide information about:

• What you should know about this winter's potential weather and flood risks  
• Flood-prone areas and conditions throughout West Marin  
• Work underway to prepare flood-control facilities, drainage systems and other infrastructure  
• How a cross-department task force and local communities are coordinating before major storms  
• Steps the community and businesses can take now to protect their property and prepare their households  
• Where to find reliable information and emergency updates before and during storms  

There will also be an opportunity to submit your questions and talk directly with County representatives. 

Everyone in West Marin is encouraged to attend, learn about risks in their area and take practical steps now to be ready for winter.
